We can classify them into the following types:

• Ferrous metals:metals that contain iron.      

                 - Pure iron

                 - Steel

                 - Cast iron

• Non - ferrous metls:metals that don´t contain iron

                    - Light and Ultra-light metal

                         

                               -Aluminium

                               - Titanium

• Heavy metals

                - Lead

                - Tin

                - Zinc

                - Copper

                - Bronze (copper + tin)

                - Brass (copper + zinc)
